About the event
Homeschool Science Club is an interactive and hands-on program tailored for homeschool students who are curious about the world around them and eager to dive into the exciting realm of science. This club offers a dynamic learning environment where kids can engage in experiments, discover scientific principles, and develop a deep appreciation for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) subjects. Here’s a comprehensive look at what the Homeschool Science Club has to offer:
What to Expect:- Hands-On Experiments: The Science Club emphasizes learning through doing, with each session featuring engaging, hands-on experiments. In September, students will explore:
- Slime Science: This fun and gooey experiment teaches students about non-Newtonian fluids, chemical reactions, and the properties of different materials. They'll experiment with various slime recipes, adding elements like glitter, beads, or even magnetic particles to see how different ingredients change the slime's texture and behavior.
- Sharpie Magic: Students will explore the science of solubility and chromatography by creating colorful designs with Sharpie markers and observing how different solvents cause the colors to spread and separate, revealing hidden patterns.
- Exploding Paint: Combining art and science, this experiment uses chemical reactions to create explosive bursts of color on canvas or paper. Students will learn about acids, bases, and the reactions that can produce exciting visual results.
